How to prepare for TS GENCO Electronics?

How to prepare for the TS GENCO AE for ECE students. First and the foremost thing that you have to keep in mind is it does not matter how good you are prepared, it always depends on how well you execute in the examination. Do not make mistakes in the examination.

      The syllabus covers a vast area of instrumentation but questions will be very less 5-6 questions may be max 10. For instrumentation if you prepare  from the book a.k sahani it is more than sufficient. But also prepare from s.chand series which have objective questions at the end of the chapters. But read the question carefully before attempting  it. The subjects like Electrical machines, telecommunications and microprocessors along with all the core subjects of electronics and communication engineering subjects with special focus on control systems. Control systems is the subject where people do lose the score because it needs perfection. 

      Do not worry about the cutoff and just focus on what you know and apply basics as well as presence of mind. Those questions which you do not have answers put them which are related to calculations in the questions.

Cover the basic topics of the Electrical subjects such as machines from the basic books such as       B.L Thereja , no need for indepth analysis but surely formulae is needed to solve small problems also remember the relations between quantities such as frequency, speed etc...

Microprocessor is on electronic subject along in which a lot of question may be asked, but these are very simple questions such as flag formats, size, syntax, simple program will be given and  you will have to find the output, do not deviate from the syllabus , all the questions will be maximum from the syllabus. Always choose ans which are from your b.tech knowledge.

The subject that is both related to electrical as well as electronics is the instrumentation again from which lot of questions can be given. Use one standard book (A.K sahani) the book looks bulk but hope u do not need to read any other if u are good in this book. Read and practice the topics such as diode balancing conditions, calculation of resistances and capacitances, frequency calculations related to crystals. There will be simple problems related to these as there will not be use of the calculator.

Simpe EDC and Digital electronics questions which will come in all the examinations related to ece. Edc and digital electronics are easy scoring subjects as there will not be any confusion in the question asked.

Do not take it for granted the General awareness topic, people good in subject may take it for granted but this will boost the score like anything and will put u in competition as most people leave this topic, a must read topic. Read Telangana history movement and also current updates regarding Telangana and around the world and India.

For electrical topics read the s.chand series books, if you have time for instrumentation also this book once. For telecommunication also better read the same rather than other standard books.
